Until september 1938 Fresedo was touring Chile and therefor only recorded a few tracks at the end of that year. This recording period of Fresedo's Orquesta at the top of their musical quality went from september 1938 when the Orquesta came back from the tour, until January 3rd 1939 when Fresedo recorded two more tracks together with Roberto Ray, before this collaborarion ended after almost seven successful years. Even though Ray returned for some recordings later in the 1940s to work again with Fresedo - but Fresedo's Orquesta was not at all the same anymore. The late 1930s finally put an end to the beautiful uprising spirit of the guardia nueva and of course the beginning of world war II was also a tragic moment in time anyway.
